Terms of Service
Who we are
TodayFiles is a video hosting service that pays uploaders for paid plays. These terms are the agreement between you and TodayFiles when you create an account, upload a video, or watch one on our player.
The service
You can upload videos from your device, from a link, by torrent, by FTP or through the API. We store them, deliver them through our player and show you the plays, countries and earnings they produce.
- The service is provided as it is offered on the day you use it. Features can change.
- We may limit uploads per account, for example by size or by day.
- Plays are counted by our systems. Our numbers are the numbers that count.
Accounts
- You need an account to upload and to be paid. Give true details and keep your password private.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account, including its API key and FTP account.
- One person or organisation, one account. Do not create accounts to get around a limit or a suspension.
Content rules
You may upload only content you own or have the right to distribute. What is not allowed is listed in the Acceptable Use Policy. Copyright complaints are handled as described on the DMCA page.
Earnings and payouts
- A play is paid after the viewer has watched 30 seconds.
- A viewer earns you one paid play per 24 hours. Replays from the same viewer IP inside that window are not paid.
- The rate depends on the viewer's country. Your Earnings page shows what each country paid.
- Amounts are shown with 4 decimals and are never rounded up.
- Paid plays appear in your dashboard during the day. Days are counted in UTC.
- You can request a payout from Billing once your balance passes the minimum for the method. The defaults are $10 for PayPal, $20 for USDT (TRC20) and $50 for Bitcoin; Billing always shows the current minimums.
- A new payout address unlocks after 48 hours.
- Plays that break the Acceptable Use Policy are not paid, and earnings from them can be removed.
Termination
You can stop using the service at any time. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or the policies they link to, and we can remove content that does. Where a balance is owed to you and the account was in good standing, we pay it out under the rules above.
Liability
We do our best to keep the service running, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or lost profits. Nothing in these terms limits a right you have by law.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date of the latest version is shown here once the text is final. If you keep using the service after a change, you accept the new version.
