Our approach

TodayFiles respects copyright. We do not host content that is uploaded in breach of the Acceptable Use Policy, and we act on notices that describe an infringement clearly.

How to report

Use the Report page linked from the player of the video in question, or open a ticket on the support page. Include:

• Your name and a way to reach you through the ticket.
• The address of the video (the player link) you say infringes your work.
• A description of the work you own and where it can be seen.
• A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent or the law.
• A statement that the information in your report is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner.
• Your signature, typed full name is enough.

What we do

When a report is complete we review it and, where it is justified, remove or disable the video. We tell the uploader, and earnings from plays of a removed video can be reversed.

Counter-notice

If your video was removed and you believe that was a mistake, reply in the ticket we opened with your name, the address of the video, a statement that you believe in good faith it was removed by mistake, and your signature. We may restore the video unless the reporter takes further steps.

Repeat infringers

Accounts that repeatedly upload infringing content are closed.

False reports

Reports made in bad faith can have legal consequences for the person who sends them.
